t14s won't turn on - solid blinking light & 3 pattern blinking light

I have a t14s gen 1 - it is not turning on, it has a few keys missing and in the past had the screen repaired but otherwise in good condition.

when I plug in 1 of 2 things will happen

  1. a steady white blinking light like a heart beat
  2. blink white 3 times, pause, repeat

I've tried long presses, short presses, external display, cmos battery etc. thank you for any help or guidance on how to repair.

@padraigcoombe we really would need to know which LED blinks with what color. Anyhow, for now download the T14s Gen 1 And X13 Gen 1 Hardware MAintenance Manual and start with the general checkout on page 25. Blinks three times:

• Three Blinks quickly: The computer is entering sleep or hibernation mode.

• Three Blinks slowly: The computer is in sleep mode.

which would be odd. It would somehow point to a power issue on the motherboard.
