Why I can't download apps on my iPod through my computer?

I keep trying to sync 2 apps on my ipod through itunes on my computer. I click sync and i have to wait for the whole process of syncing. Then, when I check my ipod, the apps I wanted aren't there. I go to the app store on my ipod and see if I can download the apps from there, but it says "Installed." So, I try to delete the apps on the computer and see if i can download it from the app store on the ipod instead. I sync and wait again, the apps aren't there, I go to the app store and try to download the apps I wanted. But then, I can't press the install button. It's a light blue instead of its usual darker blue color.

Which Apps are not downloadable? You have to make sure that the Apps that you are trying to download are compatible with your version iPod. What version is your firmware? They will not install if your firmware does not support them.

Did you try to use the search tool on the iPod to find the apps that the app store said was installed on your device? Sometimes iTunes can put apps in folders that make it look like they are hidden if you don't know where they are. If they still aren't there, try reseting your device by holding the home button and the power button at the same time for 20 seconds. The device will reset and boot back up. Then try going back in to the app store and installing the apps again. I hope this helps.
