Check the battery and the contacts. Use some vinegar to clean the contacts, the again with clean water. If tarnished use a still soft pink pencil eraser to scrub the contacts to ex-one the metal. The last thing is the light bulb maybe bad depending on the age it could be either an incandescent or LED bulb.
