Why does my printer shut down when I insert the usb drive in?

Hi I’m encountering an issue with my printer completely shutting off when the usb drive is inserted into the drive portion of the printer. What can this be? The printer turns on perfectly no issues whatsoever the touch screen works just fine, problem is the usb port I haven’t tried to fix or adjust anything yet. Please help! Thanks!

Options
  1. If you have inserted the USB flash drive into the easy-access USB port, remove it.
  2. Make sure that paper is loaded in the tray.
  3. Check the printer control panel for messages. If paper is jammed in the printer, clear the jam.
  4. Close any control panel menus that are open.

This is for my Elegoo Mars P 3D resin printer the issue is with the usb port on front of the 3D printer my apologies for not clarifying this
