I ripped the ribbon connector & the touchscreen feature does not work

I just paid 70 dollars to get my screen replaced given it was cracked. After I got it back, I noticed the LCD had a lot of fingerprints so I removed the screen to wipe them off. However, I accidentally ripped one of the ribbon connectors, & now my touch screen will not work. Everything else, including the buttons funtion perfectly fine. I've considered going back to the place that originally fixed it, but they kept trying to charge me more for their services. Is there anyway I can repair my phone without spending a whole other 70 dollars ? If so, how ? Thank you !

Lianne, sorry about your misfortune. No, there is no other way. If you tore the cable, there is no way to fix it. It will have to be replaced. The instructions for it are here. The panel is available at [linked product missing or disabled: IF142-003] as well as here. Hope this helps, good luck.
