Hi @olivermeade

Try a full power refresh and check if that resolves the problem.

Turn off the laptop if on and disconnect the charger if connected.

Disassemble the laptop and disconnect the main battery from the motherboard. You don't have to remove the battery, simply disconnect it.

Unplug the RTC coin cell battery from the motherboard.

Here's the service manual that may help.

Go to p.44 to view the procedure to remove the coin cell battery.

Press and hold the laptop's Power button for a full 30 seconds and then release.

Reconnect the RTC coin cell battery and reverse the procedure as shown in the manual to reassemble the laptop.

Once it has been reassembled, connect the charger and check if you can get into BIOS OK.

If you can, there may be a message stating that the date and time are incorrect. This is normal as the BIOS has been reset back to its factory default state. Once the D&T have been corrected the message won't appear again. Also any user definable BIOS settings that were changed by you to suit whatever system requirements you had, will have to be changed back again.
