the disk drive is just not taking any disks and even movies , all it dose is reject all disks , it dose open and close , do i have to take it in

You can also get an external optical drive that you can use on other machines or your next machine. I've really been happy with my LaCie drive: http://www.lacie.com/us/products/range.h...

It is probably time to replace the optical drive with another one, but first attempt to clean the leans with a store bought lens cleaner. It looks like a CD/DVD, but it has little brushes attached to it. I'm only suggesting it, because it would be the least expensive thing to try first.
If that doesn't work, then you could take it in, or purchase a drive for it and install it yourself. The options are a Superdrive (which burns DVDs and CDs), or a combo drive (which burns CDs, but not DVDs). You'll spend $25 - $60 on something used (don't know if you can find it new).
You may also be able to purchase an identical iBook for approximately $100, but be aware of the logic board issues that affected the screen on this one. Also, a broken one for parts with a good drive is an option.
