Brought one out of dormancy after perhaps 12 months, and I'm thining jolting it out of that state did some damage. I was barely able to load up the OS in timely manner (folder icon displayed for several seconds). Subsequent attempts to load OS X (Leopard) resulted in kernel panics. I also got this message whenver I tried to load from the DVD and even got this message try to boot from an external hard drive.

I fear I did something to that hard drive, and I'm wondering if there are other things I should examining before I make a committed effort to replace that hard drive.

Thanks for reading!
