Battery issue resolved, now my exterior Buttons no longer work

Hello,

I replaced my first battery on my iphone 3gs.. but now none of my buttons work (volume, headphone jack, the button on the upper right)

I'm about to re-open it and see if I missed a step... Any tips on what connection I may have missed and/or broke?

Thanks!

Ryan

as they are all on the same connector I would suggest that you have not re-connected it properly. It is the square connector top left of motherboard and I never remember the number..it's 5 or 6.

I would suggest checking to see if the actual logic board is seated correctly, if slightly out by even millimetres it can do similar things. I don't mean by lining up holes with a slight twist to either left or right, I actually mean lower in say left top corner and rear right corner sits higher. It will still work as normal, but you may notice that the SIM card won't quite sit right when you try to push it in.
