Partial sync, then errors and stops...

I have a 120 Gig Classic iPod. I have reset, restored, changed to enable disc use, manually add music etc etc. It will start to sync but at around 3 gig it sends me an error that varies, but most of them are cant read and write to disc - I have 60 gig of music I am trying to load on it (if that matters).

My 60 gig Video works fine - I just updated it. Itunes is 9.0.3.15. Could it be the iPod? Is there any way to see if its the HD or Logic board? if so what can I do? Thanks Eddy

Usually this indicates that the hard drive is going bad, and I'd suggest replacing it.

Thanks quick follow up - Is there any test I can run that might identify a bad cluster? The unit holds about 3 gigs and works like a charm just wont let me add more than that.
