Why is the iPod touch not sliding after full repair?

hey guys. i was trying to fix my iPod touch 4g last night and the screen completey shattered. and i bought the 4g screen replacement lcd thingie and the problem is when i too out all the screws and re hooked up the lcd wire, and the black wifi ribbon cable wire that wrapped around the bronze aluminum foil and rescrewed in all the screws then properly placed the lcd wire. the screen worked right don't get wrong but my question is why did it slide?

1.why didn't my screen slide after connecting all the wires back

2. how to pry the screen back in? i don't want to break anything or mess it up with extreme force.

3. last semi important question. does the wifi ribbon cable have anything to do with touch activation?

Reset your iPod by pressing home and power together for 10 seconds, or until the apple logo comes up, and try again

From there, restore your iPod(if you value your jailbreak and it's jailbroken, don't take 5.1 unless it's force fed)

I have a way to do it, but I need to find iOS 5.0.1 and you need to back it up first, it wipes everything and it's 50/50 if it works, but it's worth a try

plug it in normally and back it up first, then put it in DFU mode

First, press and hold the power and home button together with the cable plugged into the iPod into your computer

After it resets, let go of the power button, it should be in DFU mode

go to this website and download for your iPod touch

http://www.ijailbreak.com/ipad/download-...

save this file on your desktop or Downloads folder

on a PC, hold control down and press restore, and find your iOS you want to load onto the iPod

on a Mac, it's the option key that needs to be pressed

Take it apart and reseat the connector(s) to the digitizer, if that is no help, get the digitizer replaced, it's defective

answer to question 1, something is off inside, look everything over again and fix it

to answer question 2, if you need excessive force, something is off

question 3-no, but do be careful, it breaks easily if you aren't careful with it

hey nick thanks but what do i do if the lcd cable won't connect to the iPod touch because I've been trying to fix for too long. should i use glue or adhesive to connect it?

check the connector on the board for visible damage, and screen seembly that was not there, if there is no damage on the logicboard, the screen connector is bad, screen connector is fine, the logicboard's is damaged, but only if it's always loose no matter what in one spot how much you try

by

a.k.a anything you don't recall seeing before the old digitizer was removed

nvm nick its working but how would you suggest i pry it back in without damaging it? full force work around the edges?

Sounds like you lifted the board up without removing the camera from its well and pulled it loose from the connector and you must reconnect it before the board will fit back in. The digitizer is not connected right if you have no touch screen working.
