broken wire from blu-ray drive to main disc drive

the two fine wires connected to little yellow connector broke...I need new wires or the whole little plug in.

Can I buy it anywhere?

which little yellow connector? there are quite a few on the PS3. Post an image so we can try to help you finding it.

The two fine wires, if I am understanding you correctly, run from the IR sensor on top of the drive to the drive's main logic board.
