Replaced screen, touch is not responding in contacts

I am facing the following very weird problem...

I have replaced a screen of an iPhone 4. The touch is working well except when I am in contacts where I cannot select the number to call.

The whole screen is completely responsive in every other application (no dead zones). Only when I am in contacts I cannot select the number (the number is a dead zone).

I have tried a restore in 5.1 but so far nothing. I also have tried to re-seat the connector.

Totally weird. Any ideas?

I occasionally see this problem with screen repairs.

In the 40-50 screen replacements ive done on the iphone in the last couple of wks it is done to a dodgy screen.

It is possible to be sent a broken one even tho apparently fully working.

You need to test the old screen on it to ensure you havent damaged the motherboard.

If the old screen still works its the new screen replacement.

Just send it back.
