Washer makes noise and won’t drain all the way

Hi, I have a kenmore he washer 110.26002011 type 588-06. It won’t start a cycle. It will attempt to start and make some noises, including a rumbling noise. It will then quit. I thought it was the drain because I can hear water still in the bottom when I spin the tub by hand. I made sure the drain hose was clear. I took off the drain pump and removed a small piece of yarn and plastic. I then opened the top and found about 6 socks between the inner and outer tub. Removed socks, 2 bobby pins and replaced drain pump. It still isn’t fixed and makes a couple of strange noises that I recorded. What’s the next step? I need help.

Hi @drmegabyte

Here's the tech sheet for the washer.

See DIAGNOSTIC LED – MAIN CONTROL on p.2 to verify that the control board is OK and then if so see how to perform the UI TEST MODE on p.4 to make sure that the controls are all OK.

If the above are OK, enter the diagnostic test modes and check if any error codes are being displayed when running the tests. The error codes and their possible causes are shown on p.6-p.7.

If you find the problem and it is a part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that is useful.

When you have located the wanted part in the list you'll find that the manufacturer's part number is listed with it. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
