Why does my iPhone 3G have giant letters?

I turn on my iphone 3g and at first the letters and symbols are normal, but then it zooms in to bigger letters and symbols. I have turned it off and on but it still comes back. I have tried to press the power and home button at the same time, but it only gives me the option to turn off my phone. I can't do anything with it. Please help!

Jaclyn Morris, it sounds like you are using part of the accessibility features. You may have your Zoom on. Try to double tap the screen with 3 fingers, this should turn it off. You can turn this off by going to your Settings app and tap General. Then tap Accessibility and then tap Zoom. Either set the switch to ON or OFF. More info about that function on here and here as well. Hope this helps, good luck.
