This did not work. in the 2011 macbook pro there are 3 connectors lined up together where as only 2 in the 2010 macbook pro.

Can you take a picture of what you have there, clear and well lighted? It sounds like the 2 may have different Airport/nluetooh cards. If such is the case it should work, just need to get the 2 on the correct sockets.

If you are correct that it is a 2.4GHz 2010 and a 2011 2.0GHz, 15" MacBook Pro, the answer is yes. They have the same LVDS/video cable. Please click here for verification of that.

Since the LVDS cables are the same the header/socket on the logic board are the same. The pinouts of the cables will be the same, therefore the signals going through them will be congruent.

Thanks so much! I will not be needing another parts correct? Both displays are working perfect. I just need to disassemble them and reassemble right?

Thank you for accepting my answer. You should be able to transfer the entire display assembly/upper clam shell over. So no, you should not need any other parts. The only thing I am really iffy about is the magnet placement for the reed switch - the part that tells it the lid is closed and it should sleep. In some years they put them on different sides. If you have a problem with that let us know, there are a few ways to work around that with out having to replace things. Just take your time with this, it is a hard job for most people.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Really appreciated. It doesn't look to complicated. Service stores estimated me $200 to swap the two displays which is a ripoff. I will be doing surgery on Thursday I will post how it goes. Thanks again!
