Dropped in snow/run over by car - but still worked temporarily

So, as seen in the short description above, I dropped my nano in the snow and it was then run over by a car. It sat in the snow for about 6 hours before i found it and to my surprise it was still functioning (even though it has some gunk in its ports and a really bad cracked screen.) I immediately tried turning it off, and it would stay off for a couple minutes, but then turn back on afterwords. When i got home, i immediately placed it in a closed container sitting on some rice. It sat for about 3-4weeks. Assuming that it worked, I then ordered a replacement screen/digitizer and spent the night replacing it. But, after all that work, it seems as though the ipod is cannot be charged. I made sure that the charging port is clear of possible gunk that could be in there. I have tried plugging it into a wall adapter and my computer (itunes doesn't recognize it) and there is no signal of anything. I have also tried holding down the power and volume+ button for the recommended time. Is there a replacement charging port available for the nano6th gen? If anyone has any solutions, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks -Jordan

jordan, very concise description, however, you did not tell us if you cleaned your logic board. I suggest you follow this guide to disassemble your iPod. After that, clean your logic board using this guide. replacde the battery after. I have not found a replacement dock connector, so you may have to try to get one of a broken iPod i.e. ebay.con etc. But reevalute first, after you clened it and replaced the battery. Hope this helps, good luck.
