Battery wont charge after battery replacement

My battery replacement arrived today and i follow the instruction to replace the battery. I have ensure that every ribbon has been connected and has double check before putting it back together. The phone would turn on and show a low battery screen. I try restoring the iphone but that didnt help. The phone would not charge at all. I try to plug it in a different computer and it still wont charge. Any help?

Options

You may have just received a bad battery. Take out the new one and replace it with the original and see if it does the same thing. If it doesn't then you can pretty much assume you received a defective battery. It happens all the time.
