iPhone 4 Do I apply adhesive to the middle frame?

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a white housing for my iPhone 4. The LCD and Digitizer are pre-assembled like in this picture.

I went through the guide on ifixit and I noticed on Step 19 where the LCD + Digitizer are seperated from the midframe there doesn't seem to be any adhesive used here. Will I need adhesive at all ? Or will it just be fine if I use the pre-assembled replacement.

I'm worried about the white LCD + Digitizer being a little loose after installation. I'm perfectly comfortable with the process but I am in need of your guidance.

You don't need the adhesive for a good repair. There is already adhesive present, if you do not damage it, leave it there. If there is too much adherent broken glass and you need to remove the old adhesive, then remove it. But you do not have to replace the adhesive, just go without. Regarding the front screen being loose after installation, it will not be loose at all, the mounting screws keep it very firmly attached to the iPhone.
