Replaced ear speaker and now won't power up.

Bought my wife a new 4S last November and a couple weeks later she dropped it and broke the screen.

Replaced that and it worked for about a couple days and then the ear speaker became very faint and hard to hear. I ordered a new speaker and replaced that. Have not been able to get it to turn on properly since.

The first time I tried to turn it on the screen lit up but it was just noise on the screen, no discernible picture or anything. I turned it off, took it back apart and verified that all of my connections were good. The screen wouldn't even turn on after that.

Now, when I plug it in it will make the little chirp that they make when they are plugged in, and keeps making that same chirp about every 10 seconds. The CPU gets very hot and it won't stop making that chirping sound until I unplug it.

I have tried unplugging various components while it is plugged in and even with everything unplugged (except the dock connector of course) it still gets hot and makes the chirping sound.

Is there any hope for this phone? I have since bought her another one so am able to take a few chances with this one.

BTW, tried returning it to the Apple Store, but after telling them my story they wouldn't touch it, as I expected.

1) replace the little white dot also known as a water indicator on the middle screw of the right side of the logic board, and take it to a different apple store and claim your phone stopped working. I.E. get a new phone under warranty.

2) replace the screen/digitizer and then see what happens... since the cables are very finicky to start with something may have been messed up when you disconnected them. trust me when i say you don't always have to see damage for it to be there.
