My A1181 will not reload the OS X software

I have tried to reload the OS X by holding down Option while starting up and it takes me through the loading process and it gets to the part that says to reboot the system and have the other disk ready when you do this and then it reboots and spins and blue screen. I also tried tried this holding down the C button and get the same result.

What can I do?

I tried to reformat my PC thumb drive to load the software on to it but now it does not work in either machine.

Sounds like you have changed hard drives. It also sounds like the drive is either unformatted or formatted Apple Partition. It needs you to give it one partition and set it to GUID in the process. Use Disk Utilities to do this.

Do these procedures in the exact order until success!!

-Take both RAM chips out and reinsert firmly and try again

-Take 1 RAM chip out of slot 2 set it aside and try again

-Take RAM chip in slot 1 and insert in slot 2 and try again

-Remove RAM chip in slot 2 and set it aside. Re-insert the original RAM chip you set aside in slot 1 and try again

-Remove RAM chip in slot 1 and insert in slot 2 and try again

-Get new RAM chips and do the above all over again.

-With new RAM chips installed press power button and let go. Then immediately press Command, Option, P, and R keys at the same time until you hear the 3rd bong sound. Then you can let go of the keys.

I followed your directions with the old ram and the new ram nothing worked. Can I load the OS X onto a 2GB thumb drive? I tried to do this but the MacBook told me to repartition the disc as "GUID Partition table" and I have not figured out how to do this, can you help?
