How do you replace the back cover?
Can you change the back silver cover on a ipod touch 4th. gen.

You can, there are generic back covers you can purchase, however it will not have the serial number (or the correct one) on the back. Unless your case is trashed I would not advise doing a swap. You have to take everything out and move it to the new case which is very time consuming and there is a lot of potential to damage some crucial components.

Jason is correct. It also involves soldering where if your not use to doing solder work with the right equipment prepare to lift off a solder pad, short out the logic board, or any number of things can go wrong.
