iPod not turning on or recognized by pc

This is a perfect storm of badness for a routine screen replacement. Everything was working until i broke the power button ribbon so that was bad, but then i got white screen of death, tried to restore it, but ipod has a passcode on it so itunes wouldnt't recognize it, then the ipod shut down completely, no response when i plug it in or press any buttons, i just have no idea what to do except by this person a new ipos, which is not exactly what i want to do

Sucks but you have to replace the power button unless it already works then just pitbit into recovery mode buy holding power and menu button and plugging it in

Unfortunately you can't do a hard restore on it without the lock/power button. I would try and leave it charging overnight (on a wall charger) and see it wakes up. If not then the other option to replace the power/volume button ribbon. Putting it into DFU mode might fix it but like I said you need the lock button.

In the future I would fully test and rid the ipod of any passwords before you open it up. That way if this situation happens again you won't be stuck.
