Upgrading the Logic Board in MacBook Pro

I have a model A1150 MBP that still runs great, however, I'd like to upgrade the logic board by replacing it with one from model A1260 so that I can increase the maximum RAM to something greater than 2 Gb and increase the processing power. First of all, is this possible? Secondly, I am already aware that I will need to replace the lower case to accommodate the new board, will the top case also need replacement? Also, will the OS need to be reinstalled?

Thanks.

(PS: I am running dual boot with XP Professional, and these modifications are to make the Windows side run better)

No first off the screens are LED , your model is not you would have to change out the screen too and the connectors. the a1226 and a1260 are the santa rosa models and can interchange but not the other models your better off buying the whole unite if you want a upgrade. I'm not too shure but I think you can interchange the a1150 stuff with the a1211 but I may be wrong on that, sorry I hope that helps some.
