A broken 3g was recently given to me that was fully taken apart and i dont know whether they removed the cables in the right order or not? What should i do if i want to repair it as far as reconnecting the cables?

Provided none of the cables are broken, it shouldn't matter what order they were taken apart in. If they still have all the the numbers on the foam, you can kind of follow that order to put it back together. Here's a guide for taking the iPhone apart to the rear panel- that's the most comprehensive guide I know of. Just work backwards. :)
