Bluetooth Board and Airport Card removal, will it still function?

If I remove the Blutooth Board and the Airport card from my 27" iMac because I no longer want that functionality, will the computer still work properly if I do not replace them? Obviously, I understand that there will be no wireless or Bluetooth connectivity.
