white screen, also on external monitor

My macbook gives only a white screen when starting up.

You can hear the chime, but the screen stays white.

Tried an external monitor, but does not work either.

I tried the following:

Resetting SMC

starting up with C, ALT, ... pressed

booting without HDD

booting with only 1 RAM memory strip

booting with a apple DVD,

All of them dont work.

any suggestions??

Bad VGC

or logic board. The unit may have been dropped or wet to damage the video graphics chip. Repairing/replacing a Video Chip on a laptop is not for DIYers... it requires advanced skills in electronics, soldering and soldering equipment.

Reparing /replacing the chip will be no problem.

Do you think reflowing will be sufficient?

After replacing the VGC the board is OK.
