Will replacing the LCD fix touch input?

Recently someone dropped my touchpad and cracked the screen a bit but the main problem is the top half will not receive touch input. Will replacing the lcd fix this??

no if there is no other damage , you will need to replace the Digitizer. which it the front piece . the digitizer is the one that registers the touches and relays it to the motherboard
