White screen after iPod was working great

If you happen to accidentally break off one of the teeny tiny little metal pieces on the logic board next to the LCD connector would that cause the screen to go white? My ipod was working fantastic after replacing the screen. I went to add the adhesive and lay the screen down onto the frame. When I hit the power button to turn on the ipod it was white. I have restored, rebooted, hit all the button combinations I can think of and nothing! I am so frustrated. But I did look with a magnifying glass at the pin connector and it looks as if one or two of those little metal pieces maybe broken off. I am not sure but I can't think of anything else it could be.

Please help.

Unfortunately yes. I have had pieces smaller than a flea missing and cause the board to fail and give you a white screen. If you replaced it cleanly and it is still under warranty apple will help you out!

Thats exactly what I needed to know! Thank you! I still kept trying to figure out other solutions but you helped me figure out the problem, so I took the new screen off and used it for another ipod I am trying to fix and I will just use this broken ipod for parts. Thank you again :)
