How do I get replacement part the little "net" under the screen?

Hello.

I bought a new iPhone 4 display assembly but I noticed that it doesn't have the little "net" thingy next to the front camera and under the Proximity Sensor I think it protects from getting dust into the phone, sorry i'm not very good at explanation so here's a picture instead:

PICTURE :)

The grey "net" thingy, I hope someone understands me!

Is there any replacement for this that I can buy?

Thanks

I am sure that John was not purposely giving you wrong advise. No reason to become somewhat condescending with your comment. We are all volunteering on here and using our own time and resources in assisting other users. Also, only accept an answer that helps in resolving your issues. Otherwise it looks like it did get resolved. Oh yeah, you can buy the speaker meshfrom here.

The slender cable on an original LCD has one on it. If you have and old one, you may be able to pull it off and trim it to fit.

I'm sure you're talking about the gray/silver mesh, like a cushion.

I've seen lcd's work with and sometimes work without the one on the lcd connector, in a pinch, you could try swapping it over.

Hi John,

Did you look at my picture I added in the post? It has nothing to with the connector. Look at the picture I added in the post and you will understand what I meant :)

My apologizes. I missed the photo link that you posted. I was assuming you were talking about the mesh that is under the logic board, which is about the same size as the mesh on the lcd cable. I just included my photo to point out the size of the mesh. That is why I was suggesting that one off an old lcd cable would probably be used to replace the one under the logic board. Duh, I also had iPod touch 4g in my mind too...been working on those several days. I'm glad you found a solution.

Btw, I took no offense in gronko's reply oldturkey03. And voted your answer up. :)

John, I know you did not and I am certain gronko did not mean any harm by that. I do believe in playing nice and saying please and thank you, so I do get a little "edgy" at times...:-) no harm, no foul.
