Is there a way of getting tat ribbon cable in there or am i screwed? The tutorial seemed easy but far from it.

just try putting the flex in the connection. it should work unless you've ripped the pins off the board too. It can be repaired fairly cheaply so no you're not screwed.

Can I just push the ribbon cable in and tape it down? Unfortunately the black clamp at the end got broke as well. Who does this repair? Thanks for responding? Fixing iPhones when I retire has now been removed from by bucket list.
