ipad wont come on after power button replacement

I have a apple ipad 2 wifi,my power button was broken so i couldn't power down the ipad,so i allowed to go in to sleep mode.then i opened up,removed lcd and proceeded to change.everything went smooth,put the ipad back together,plugged in to wall adapter,will not boot up, makes no sound.tried a hard reset nothing. does anyone have any ideas?
