the screen on my iphone 4 verizon is broken but phone still functions and can use the display if i want to replace it can i just replace the glass or do i have to replace the screen and lcd

The digitizer(glass) and the lcd and "glued" together on the Iphone for meanings of a better term. you can rove one from the other but they will break in the process and there is no real way to make them stay together if you did get the pieces separately so yes you will have to replace them both. But be warned there are plenty of fakes out there be sure to get yours from a reputable business and make sure the lcd and digitizer come as 1 piece not 2
