Very low volume in headphones.
Speaker volume on iPod is fine. When headphones are plugged in, volume is very low even when turned up to maximum. Headphones work fine on other electronics.

Your earphone jack is going out or their could be something jammed inside the hole where the earphones plug into the ipod.
