Can't insert CD/DVD's in Superdrive

*Actually i have a Macbook late 2008 not Macbook Pro... but i wasn't able to find it in the table. *

Since yesterday my superdrive doesn't recognizes any cd or dvd. I installed mac osx lion from a cd and all worked fine and suddenly i can't insert any cd now. I can insert the cd almost complete in the superdrive but the cd isn't catched by the mechanism.

In the System Profiler my Superdrive is shown.

I made a SMC(PMU), PRAM Reset and a lot of restarts already.

Anyone an idea ?

Options

Your optical drive is bad. You just need to replace it and you will be right as rain again.

There could be a cd/dvd stuck in the drive but not showing up as mounted on the desktop. Just for curiosity, try restarting the system and hitting the eject key.
