How do resurrect dim screen from a water damaged iPhone 4?

I dropped my iphone 4 16g at the beach and it got water inside. I did the rice dunk for three days and after three days no good. Opened it up and blew it out with a hair dryer. After that, i got excited to hear something. However, I noticed the screen had something on it but really dim. I shined my flashlight and saw that my iphone is actually on but very dark screen. It dials and the apps work. Except can't see the screen. How do I fix this problem? I googled and found out the chip that control the backlight could have been water damaged. Help? Is there another solution?

depot 90, I would start off by cleaning the iPhone to prevent any corrosion that can further damage the phone. Use this as a general guide. The LCD has the backlight in it but it is controlled from the IC and a coil. It is more difficult to change the components on the logic board. I would replace the LCD first, if that still does not work, replace the logic board components. Hope this helps, good luck.
