I'm looking for instructions on replacing my optical drive with a second hard drive. The MCE Optibay comes with instructions but I found a more affordable one (New Mode US) that does not come with instructions. There are a lot of videos for doing this to a MacBook Pro but I can't find any for this model (13" white unibody mid-2010 macbook). Thanks for your help.

Yes, it can be done on these machines. However, the SATA bus may be limited to SATA I or II, which is a common issue for the optical drive bay on a lot of these older Macs which had a DVD drive. As far as replacement goes, you are going to want to follow this guide. As far as parts go, this will fit the Mac, and allow a 2nd hard drive to be added.
