Can't get my airport to turn on

I dropped my macbook air (first edition) onto the floor and since then I cannot get it to connect to WI FI. Screen askes me to "turn on airport", I check the box, and it then says that it can't find the airport connection, or that Airport card is not installed.

Go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to "about this mac" > more info > Network > Airport. Se if your card is being seen. If not you will need to try to reseat it. Here's how: MacBook Air Models A1237 and A1304 AirPort/Bluetooth Board Replacement
