Dim Screen, Sleep Button & Proximity Sensor not working

A few days ago, I dropped my phone and it got wet. It went in roughly half way (the jack, speaker, sleep button side). The screen is very dim regardless of the brightness setting, the lock/sleep button does not respond unless im doing a hard reset, which at first the sleep button does not respond and the "voice control" comes up from holding the home key. After 10-20 seconds, the phone will shut itself off. Once the phone is off, I can't turn it back on unless I plug it in, which then it restarts. Also the proximity sensor doesn't respond, when Im using the phone to call, the screen remains active, needless to say I end up hitting the mute button an awful lot.

So far I have put the phone in a bag of rice to let it dry. I've opened the phone, ensured that it was in fact dry, cleaned all the connections with alcohol (that were obvious at least). I've even taken the 3gs out and swapped it into a 3g case using the 3g headphone jack assembly thinking that may fix the sleep button, but nothing yet. The sound works, the volume buttons work, everything else seems to work. Any ideas?
