Samsung Galaxy S screen repair?

is this phones screen the same as the sII, or the sII 4g??

can i just change the glass or do i have to change the lcd screen too?? please help...

Here's how to do it ..http://www.formymobile.co.uk/galaxysdisa..., as E Carson says the 2 screens (touch and display) are joined so you can't separate them. You may find someone who says you can but for me I don't think picking pieces off for 2 days is a successful way to do things. If you are careful and take things slowly I'm sure you will be able to do this repair. You will need to find someone who sells..here or here also on ebay..

I would not recommend attempting to repair this phone. Specifically the AMOLED screen is attached to the digitizer by glue. The digitizer/screen is glued into the bezel. No one has succeeded in replacing the screen and Digitizer without breaking the old one into many dangerous sharp pieces. Removing the glue involves heating the device to levels that risk damaging the device, 130C. This has led to speculation that Samsung just replaces defective i9000 devices due to the high cost of labor involved with repair. I really can not explain how much glue is involved.

Is the GT-i9000 screen the same as a S-i9000? just ordered an s-i9000 replacement screen for a GT-i9000?
