Water Damage Black Screen Light on

I dropped my iPhone in the toilet 1 week ago phone has been sitting in rice and tried to charge when thought it was dry but the light for the camera just comes on.

Would you suggest cleaning the back with the alcohol and drying again? Or replacing battery?

I am comfortable doing repairs at home. Please let me know what I can do.

I have ordered a new battery so I will see if that works to fix it. I cleaned it already and put back into rice until it comes in mail. Thanks.

Options

Take the phone apart completely clean the board with 90% alcohol remove the shields over the chip.Maybe use a tooth bush with sooofffftttt teeth over all the chips.But you may need a new screen,battery and or backlight ic and coil.
