Can I take out my keyboard?

Hi everyone! I am a little bit of a tinkerer with Mac computers. I just got a MacBook Pro. I want to change the color of the backlit display from white to blue. I already know how to do that, but not how to take the keyboard out. If anyone can help me, that would be great! Thanks :-)

I believe it can be done, but i have not tried on this particular model. It would be interesting to know before giving it a go as I would like to change my colours also. I expect there to be a lot of tiny screws (around 50) once you remove the black lining, you will need to be very careful removing this.

Not much info to be fair but I hope it helps some,

Wes

Is this guess based on anything other than your gut feeling?

This is based on experience with other unibody models and keyboards, unfortunately i've not had the time or resources to disassemble the whole keyboard on a 2011 MBP yet.

Instead of replacing the LED's try coloring them with white board markers.

A great cheat ;-}
