Internal wireless card vs wireless card.

Regarding a Acer Aspire One ZG5. What is the difference between the internal wireless card and the wireless card located behind the panel underneath the netbook? Are they both needed?

I'm having connectivity issues when attempting to use wireless access.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

When you say that you are having connectivity issues, does that mean you lose connection on occasion or that you can't connect at all? Do you know if your netbook came with an internal wireless card or did you not select that option? To my knowledge only one is needed to connect to WiFi, but it's possible to buy a computer w/o an internal wireless card.

This unit will not connect via wireless connection. It does have internal wireless card that I set out to replace. The repair manual on this site mentions removing the wireless card located behind panel of bottom of this unit prior to removing keyboard and top cover etc. When I opened bottom panel, card slot was empty with no apparent plug-in or antennae leads. I think my main concern was the need for two wireless cards. Thanks.
