Certain keys not working (responding)

Certain keys such as F1, 1, Q, A, F8, F11, F12 and Delete not working. There has been no spills or any other kind of damage. The keys which are not working seem to be of the same area on the keyboard, I recon it could be some sort of a software problem.

I would be highly grateful if you could kindly help me out.

If you think it could be a software issue just boot your macbook with another OS from your installation disk or from an external HD and test the keyboard. If you still have the problem then remove the macbook bottom panel and reseat the keyboard cable to the logic board. Still have the issue ? Probably a faulty keyboard. Good luck :-)
