My bluetooth adaptor is not showing up anywhere

My bluetooth adaptor isn't showing up in bluetooth settings or in the device manager. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, running the bluetooth troubleshooter is no help, it just tells me there is no bluetooth connector. It seems as though my bluetooth adaptor has just disappeared from my laptop.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@airplanekiwi it is turned on? It worked before? Your WiFi still working? Can you see the Bluetooth adapter in your BIOS? Next thing I would do, is check on here Let us know what you find out.

I cant turn on bluetooth. it used to work now it doesn't. WiFi has no issues as of right now and i haven't checked the BIOS as i'm unfamiliar with OEM BIOS systems.

@airplanekiwi

What is the status of the Bluetooth adapter as shown in Device Manager?

To get to Device Manager in Win10/11 press the Win key + x key [both together) and click on the device manager link that appears in the Options box.

When in Device Manager scroll down and click on the > symbol next to the Bluetooth category to expand the list and then RIGHT click on the Bluetooth device entry then click on Properties and check what it shows in the General tab Device status box.

Hi @airplanekiwi

Check in BIOS to see if the BT adapter has been disabled.

To get to BIOS, turn on the laptop and press F2 a few times to get there. The user guide (see p.28) shows how as well.

When in BIOS scroll through the menus to see if it is listed.

Unfortunately the user manual doesn't mention anything about it but maybe check the Configuration settings and it may be in there.

Well this video might be helpful for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIrvH2qi...

And also check for the outdated Bluetooth driver some time an outdated driver can also cause this kind of issue. So I will suggest you to check for the outdated bluetooth driver as well.
