LCD lower half is going crazy.
My display is going kinda crazy. The bottom half of it will normally get distorted. I sent it into repairs 4 times and they've all been free (even though my warranty has expired), but it's never been fixed. I finally got fed up and told them to check carefully, now they say it's my LCD and it's gonna cost quite a bit to fix it. The thing is, every time they sent it back the problem became worse. Now I can't use my laptop without holding the screen. The problem usually goes away if I press the LCD/back of the monitor together. Now my Q is, do I need to replace the LCD, or just find a way to get them to stay together (maybe it being separated is a problem.
Is this a good question?

Well my computer is nearly 3 years old. Way out of warranty. I'm in China too, so it's not exactly an option to do all of that. I have to send it to a authorized service repair as well. I think they've just been replacing the Nvidia card thinking it was another problem, and only just found out that it was the actual monitor. I already requested another computer but no go there. I can try again, but I've called many times asking for a new comp.

Ok: excitement aside. You say you have sent it in a number of times. Who did you send it to? Apple or someone else? Second, Are you the first owner of this computer or did you buy it from someone else? I know two laptops that were repaired by Apple after warranty expired and one of the two was replaced with a newer one. Nobody used or threatened the use of a lawyer. Please let us know these answers and we will see what we can do to help.
