SD card dislodged and stuck in phone?

I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this or can help me make sense of this please.

I have an SD card and noticed my phone was running slow so I went to delete some content as saw that the SD wasn't inserted.

I'm trying to work out if it could have become dislodged and slipped inside of the line somewhere. It sounds so strange but I haven't opened the slot since putting the card in when I originally got the phone.

I've looked in the slot with a torch and can't see anything there, there's a faint rattle when I shake it so before I take it into a shop, is this actually possible? I'm completely baffled
