Powering up with USB

I had a Nokia 1 plus phone which I've enabled usb debugging before. Months later screen got broken. I still could use it via adb screen mirroring. But some time later battery went dead and I thought better to throw it away. I'm interested in chipsets and etc so opened phone carefully and took motherboard. Now I think is it possible to use it in the same way as Raspberry Pi works. Phones can work without battery and screen can be mirrored to PC. Can anyone help?

It may not boot without the battery unfortunately, and if it does it may have degraded performance. Hope this helps!
