I just replaced my hard disk a couple of days ago and I'm with a 'new' computer; things now are fast and reliable.

The replacement procedure is a very easy task.

You're lucky as your machine does not require the new Apple firmware hard drives with temperature sensors. Any SATA 3.5" hard drive should work for you. The newer drives may need to be jumper down to 1.5 Ghz to be seen and formatted. Just do a web search for your drive and jumpers to get the correct setting.
