@oldturkey03, there was really nothing to tell. I tried to power it off the conventional way. But as I said, nothing was working. Even the screen had frozen in time. However, I was able to do a soft reset by holding all 3 buttons on the right side off the phone until it powered down and restarted. It is now working fine. Thank you for your response nonetheless.

@warlock1515 you are not telling us what you have tried. Also, is there anything you know off that may have happened to the phone. Anyhow, her are a few things that you want to try first.

REstart the device

  1. Press and hold the Power button (on the right edge) until the power menu appears then release.

Should that not work try this

Press and hold the Power button and Volume down buttons (on the right edge) for approximately 10 seconds or until the device powers off. If your device doesn't automatically power back on, partially charge the device then press and hold the Power button until the Motorola screen appears.

Let us know if this changed anything.

@hnvzuf6vkdisl2w sorry but no it wasn't. The OP stated that "holding all 3 buttons on the right side off the phone until it powered down and restarted. It is now working fine." It is important to read through the complete thread.
